American Belleek

When we first started to collect Irish Belleek we would encounter various pieces of pottery with markings such as Willets/Belleek or Lenox/ Belleek, but since we were searching for Irish Belleek we would not be interested.    After a while we came to the realization that American Belleek is not only rare but exceedingly hard to find, which only peeked are interest more.  Since we started looking in earnest, we have managed to find three pieces so far. Pottery Mark 
Starting in 1921 the pottery used four strands of rods in weave.  Older four strand baskets have the words "BELLEEK CO. FERMANAGH, IRELAND" impressed into a single pad.
